VidRush writes, narrates and edits a whole video from a prompt, starting at $99 a month for 45 minutes of video. Cutaway edits narration you record yourself and matches each line with a public-domain or Creative Commons picture, at $49 a month for 150 minutes ($29 for the first 50 founding members). VidRush has no free trial. Cutaway edits the first 15 minutes of your first video for free.

What a 15-minute video costs
VidRush charges in credits. Its help center says a minute of video on its Deep Video v1 Pro model, at medium reasoning, uses about 44 credits, and the pricing page turns that into a price per minute for each plan. At $2.18 a minute on the Starter plan billed monthly, a 15-minute video uses about $33 of your plan. At the lowest rate on the page, $1.30 a minute on the Pro plan billed yearly, it is about $20. Cheaper model settings use fewer credits.
Uploading your own voiceover does not change this. VidRush's FAQ says the credits cover the whole pipeline (research, scripting, footage and rendering), so a video with your narration costs the same as one with an AI voice.
Cutaway's plans include 150 minutes a month, which is about ten 15-minute videos. That is about $4.90 per video at $49 a month, or $2.90 for founding members.
Where the pictures come from
VidRush lets you pick from three kinds of sources in its Compliance settings: commercial stock such as Storyblocks, Creative Commons and public-domain archives, and general web crawling. Its documentation says that with web crawling turned off, the clips and images available drop by about 90% and the matching gets weaker.
For Creative Commons and public-domain footage, VidRush shows the license details in a pop-up when you render. Its documentation says attribution is on you: you copy the credits into your YouTube description yourself.
Cutaway only uses public-domain, CC0 and Creative Commons pictures and clips, plus files you upload. Each picture in your storyboard shows its source and license, each shot is checked against its line, and the credits for your description are written for you. You can also upload your own pictures and clips for any line.
Checking the edit
Before each VidRush video is generated, a quote shows the format, length, voice and estimated credits, and you can change them. Once the video is made, you can swap clips, retime cuts and fix captions in its editor. VidRush's help center says refunds are generally only given for technical failures, not for wrong clips or creative results, and suggests fixing those in the editor.
Cutaway sends the storyboard first, within 24 hours: each line of your narration with the picture we plan to use. You replace any picture you don't like before the video is edited. If you are not satisfied with your first edit, we refund your payment.
